Born and raised in The Bahamas, G. Bravo is a hip-hop artist that currently resides in St. Louis. He labels his style of hip-hop as "Island Hop" which takes the essence of the Caribbean and fuses it to American rap. "By listening to me, you may hear other known Caribbean artists," says Bravo. "However, my music is more a personal homage to them."

The Caribbean artist is set to release his freshman album titled "Shells by da Seashore" in late 2017. Laid out in a storybook format, it opens with an introduction into the backstory of Bravo's life and its different chapters. The first single, "Tonight," showcases a current stance to hip-hop. Smooth, light electronic music with a soft bass accompanies urgent, rhythmic rapping to shape the scene Bravo first saw his ex-girlfriend. The second single, "Cruel Intentions," is the strongest song in Caribbean influences. Various sounds resemble Calypso steel drums that mix with a slow reggae rhythm. Quick-tongue lyric segments round out the song depicting the battle of being used by people around you. He wraps up the album with a farewell outro that features real voices of friends, family, and fans that have supported him.

Bravo started to make music in 2008 after he landed a track scholarship to Lindenwood University. During his time there, he met other students from the Caribbean that loved to rap to various beats. A friend challenged him to start writing lyrics down to form his ideas better, and he hasn't looked back. He has played at venues across St. Louis including The Duck Room at Blueberry Hill, The Ambassadors, and The Bootleg at Atomic Cowboy. Notably, he has opened for Canadian hip-hop artist Tory Lanez and for American rapper, K Camp in May 2017.

"Opening for Lanez was an amazing feeling," said Bravo. "It was euphoric to stand and perform in front of a sold out venue of 200 people. That was the moment I knew I wanted to do this. That was the moment I vowed to become a success."
